Zip wire equipment

The Playing Field is located in Wheatley Lane and is looked after by Carlton le Moorland Parish Council.

During 2012, the Parish Council sought views of the residents as to the future of the Playing field.

Lots of feedback was received and has played a part in moves to make changes to the equipment to bring it up to date and more appealing to all in the village.

Ideas considered were the introduction of a Zip Wire, pieces of Gym equipment and two replacement pieces of junior multi activity equipment. Plus picnic benches are to be introduced to make this a better area for families to be together.

** The Young Peoples Trust kindly agreed to provide funding to purchase two pieces of equipment for the 0 to 11 year age range. This is great news and the Parish Council would like to thank the trustees for the first part of this funding of £7,500.

In February 2014 the Council were awarded £10,000 from the Awards For All Fund for an application to purchase and install the zip wire and outdoor gym equipment.

At the end of March 2014, the new equipment was installed - zip wire, gym equipment and an activity tower.

In September 2018, the Parish Council completed the second phase of the Playing Field Development with thanks to further funding from the Young Peoples Trust. A wooden trail comprising of balance beams, scramble nets, a tyre traverse and a rope bridge has now been installed for the younger residents of the village.
